Edition 2000

The Voladero 2000 International Film and Video Festival took place at the Cineteca Nuevo León from November 17th through 19th of the year 2000. 56 films were submitted from places as distant as Austria and Israel, and 20 films were selected to be screened at the Festival. Back then there was only a fiction and documentary short film competition.

The three person jury was conformed by renowned Mexican director Felipe Cazals, who is the author of one of the most important careers in our cinema, Roberto Villarreal Sepúlveda, film critic and director of the Monterrey City Theatre, and Roberto Escamilla, local filmmaker and Programming Coordinator fo the Nuevo León Cinematheque from 1998 to 2010.
